September 30, 2025 – At the opening of the plenary session of II International Forum on Unmanned Vehicles UAV-2025 BSTU Rector Ihar Voitau highlighted one of the key growth vectors of the national economy.
“One of the top-priority research areas in the field of unmanned technical systems in Belarus is creation and development of national scientific, technological and production facilities for design and production of cutting-edge unmanned aerial complexes and ultralight low-size multipurpose manned complexes,” Ihar Voitau emphasized.
?
This challenge was timely addressed by Belarusian State Technological University. In 2025 the University started training of engineers in a brand new degree programme in Design and Technology of Unmanned Aerial Complexes
?
The study programme is meant to cover the growing demand of Belarusian industry in highly-qualified engineers. The students will receive profound theoretical background and necessary hands-on skills of design, engineering analysis and technology of unmanned vehicles.? ??
?
The professionals in unmanned vehicles technology are currently in high demand on the labour market. The annual nationwide employment opportunities are estimated to 25 engineers, which makes the new study programme highly wanted by young people who are ready to address the pressing issues of technological sovereignty and economy of the country.??
