On November 01, BSTU gave a start to VI International Science and Technology Forum on Chemical Engineering and Oil and Gas Processing PETROGASCHEMISTRY-2023. The first event on the Forum agenda was Contest of Innovative research Projects of Young Scientists that drew in over 50 engineering and economic projects, 20 of which were qualified for the final.?

The versatile, challenging and marketable projects touched upon a wide range of topics, including synthesis of few-layer graphene, complex purification of phosphoric acid, glass ceramics, non-slip rubber, eco-plywood, fast-growing trees, modified bitumen composition, multiservice hotel booking, a zoo hotel, promotion projects of Belarusian products to external markets, etc.

Many of the projects were developed with the support of EconoMix student research club, run and supervised by Elena Meshcheryakova, Associate Professor, PhD (Economics). ?The contest participants were warmly welcomed by Ihar Voitau, BSTU Rector, who noted the high relevance and feasibility of the projects and their applicability in the national economy.?

The contest results will be announced within the plenary session of the Forum where the winners in the contest nominations will be awarded.
